Enhanced Eye Examination

An Enhanced Eye Examination includes an OCT scan in addition to what is included in an NHS eye examination. OCT (optical coherence tomography) produces a 3D image of the retina and optic nerve. This allows our Optometrists to gain more insight and diagnose a wide range of eye conditions before they become a problem. There is a £25 fee for this type of appointment. Please be aware that if you are over 60 years old, your Optometrist may use drops to dilate your pupils.
